Role Summary

The Medical Physics & Clinical Support Specialist will be responsible for delivering clinical application training, physics support, and technical assistance to end users and distributors across South Korea. This role works closely with cross-functional teams including Sales, Marketing, and Customer Support to ensure effective product implementation, training, and customer satisfaction. The position reports to the Manager, Medical Physics & Clinical Support (APAC).

Key Responsibilities

 

Clinical Support & Field Operations

  • Provide application and physics support for radiation therapy systems to customers and distributors
  • Perform commissioning support, quality assurance (QA), and troubleshooting at customer sites
  • Develop strong expertise in radiation beam measurements, QA procedures, and clinical impact assessment
  • Deliver hands-on training to medical physicists, radiation therapists, and dosimetrists on:
    • Machine QA and calibration
    • Treatment planning and workflows
    • System alignment and accuracy testing
  • Support customers during clinical implementation and patient treatment processes
  • Participate in on-call support rotation and ensure timely response to technical inquiries
  • Maintain accurate documentation of support activities and issue resolution

Training & Customer Engagement


  • Conduct clinical and technical training sessions for customers and distributors
  • Review and contribute to training materials as a subject matter expert
  • Support workshops, symposiums, and customer demonstrations
  • Collaborate with Sales and Marketing teams to enhance product positioning through clinical insights
  • Assist in customer presentations, tenders, and upgrade opportunities

Quality, Safety & Compliance


  • Ensure all activities comply with regulatory standards and quality requirements
  • Perform verification and validation of hardware/software changes where applicable
  • Support quality management systems through adherence to internal procedures
  • Monitor and report safety and quality issues promptly
  • Conduct radiation safety checks, including:
    • Calibration validation
    • Radiation surveys and exposure measurements
    • Shielding and compliance assessments
  • Advocate for patient safety in all clinical and operational activities

Cross-functional Collaboration


  • Work closely with internal teams across Sales, Marketing, and Customer Support
  • Provide clinical expertise to support product development and feedback initiatives
  • Maintain professional relationships with healthcare professionals and industry peers


An Ideal Candidate:

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Radiation Technology, Dosimetry, or related field
  • Master’s degree in Medical Physics preferred
  • Fresh graduates or final-year students in Medical Physics are encouraged to apply
  • Practical experience in hospital-based medical physics (QA, planning, or radiation therapy preferred)
  • Strong communication skills in both Korean and English (written and verbal)
  • Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional and multicultural environment
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Additional Requirements


  • Willingness to travel approximately 40–50% within South Korea
  • Flexibility to work outside standard hours when required
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks (lifting equipment, on-site technical work)
