About Company:

 Our Client is a leading American producer of technology-based performance materials for manufacturers, focusing on four core segments: performance colors and glass; pigments, powders, and oxides; porcelain enamel; and tile coatings systems.

An Ideal Candidate:

  1. Should have done a PHD in Chemistry or Master’s degree in chemistry or related science and 15+ years’ experience in pigment dispersions, paint technology, or coatings applications.
  2. Direct colorant and/or paint formulation experience.
  3. Academic background in coatings chemistry, polymer chemistry, surfactant/additive technology, or rheology is desirable. Holding Doctorate in the relevant field would be added advantage.
  4. Demonstrated ability for problem solving and the capacity to handle several projects simultaneously are critical.
  5. A basic commercial understanding of business and customer priorities.
  6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
  7. 10+ yrs of Experience with Ability to supervise, manage performance and motivate at least a small group of subordinates.


Key Competencies:

  1. This role systematically improve existing product performance, drive Alternative Raw Materials (ARM’s), develop and launch new innovative technologies and support the regions, where appropriate, to transfer technologies, materials and processes from the lab to full-scale plant production.
  2. This position exists to prioritize projects / programs in the lab; provide technical reports; provide technical support to internal and external customers; and to assist in maintaining a safe working environment.
  3. The Innovation and Technology Manager will be responsible for direct reports and must ensure that their performance is managed accordingly.
  4.  This will include implementing training & development plans for the Innovation & Technology team.
