This is an excellent opportunity for tax professionals from either Big 4 / professional services or commercial backgrounds who are looking to develop broader international tax exposure.
Job Description
• Act as an internal tax advisor to the business, providing practical tax advice and support to different stakeholders across international operations
• Handle and support international tax advisory and compliance matters across multiple jurisdictions, including markets in Asia Pacific and Europe
• Work closely with overseas offices, external tax advisors and local tax authorities across different countries on tax enquiries and regulatory matters
• Keep abreast of international and local tax regulatory developments, assess their implications and provide timely updates and recommendations to internal stakeholders
• Support the business on tax implications arising from new projects, transactions, business developments and cross-border activities
• Manage tax reporting matters, including tax provisions, budgeting, forecasting and other internal reporting requirements
• Support transfer pricing matters, including related-party transactions, documentation and relevant compliance requirements
• Conduct tax research and technical analysis on different jurisdictions to support business decision-making
• Identify potential tax risks and recommend appropriate solutions or mitigation measures
• Work closely with senior members of the tax team on various regional and international tax projects
Requirements
• Degree holder in Accounting, Taxation, Finance or a related discipline; CPA or equivalent professional qualification would be an advantage
• Relevant tax experience gained from a Big 4 / professional services firm and/or an in-house corporate tax function
• Multiple levels are being considered, from Senior Officer and Assistant Manager through to Manager, depending on experience and technical capability
• Candidates coming directly from Big 4 are welcome
• Solid understanding of corporate taxation, with exposure to international tax, cross-border tax or multi-jurisdictional tax matters
• Excellent written and spoken English is essential, as the role involves frequent communication with overseas stakeholders, professional advisors and local authorities across different jurisdictions
• Strong research and analytical capabilities, with the ability to understand regulatory developments and translate them into practical advice for the business
• Proactive, detail-minded and capable of working independently in a fast-paced international environment
• Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
