Primary Scope: Power Adapter & Commodity Categories — NPI / Sustaining
Job Overview
The Peripherals System Program Manager is responsible for driving end‑to‑end program execution for Power Adapter and Peripheral Commodity product categories. This role oversees both New Product Introduction (NPI) and Sustaining phases, ensuring cross‑functional alignment, structured checkpoint readiness, timely issue resolution, and consistent communication with senior leadership.
1. Program Leadership for Power Adapter & Commodity Products
- Lead full lifecycle program management for power adapters, cables, and commodity peripherals from concept through mass production and sustaining changes.
- Ensure all deliverables and risks are proactively managed across electrical, mechanical, quality, reliability, operations, and supply chain teams.
- Define and drive NPI/Sustaining execution plans aligned with product scope, technical requirements, and operational readiness.
2. Cross-Functional Team Orchestration
- Lead weekly system team meetings; document actions, track owners, and ensure timely closure.
- Facilitate cross-functional checkpoint reviews (MRR/PCO/CO/POR/DB/PV/RTP) with clear objectives, deliverables, and data-driven status.
- Align extended teams on scope, innovations, NUDs, trade-offs, and engineering/operations requirements.
3. Executive Communication & Escalation
- Provide structured and concise program updates to leadership, highlighting status, risks, mitigation, and key decisions required.
- Translate executive directives into actionable tasks for system and functional teams.
- Escalate issues promptly when decisions or resource support are needed to mitigate risk.
4. Sustaining & Change Management
- Manage ongoing sustaining change requests (CRs) for power adapter and commodity products.
- Ensure functional teams understand design, quality, and operational impacts, with mitigations clearly communicated and aligned.
- Drive cross-functional closure of CR deliverables to minimize business disruption.
【Candidate Profile】
- 5–10 years program management experience in consumer electronics, power systems, or hardware commodities.
- Strong knowledge of power adapters, chargers, cables, and mechanical/electrical commodity components.
- Experience leading NPI programs with ODM/JDM/EMS partners.
- Excellent communication and executive reporting skills.
- PMP certification or engineering background preferred.
