Objective
- Strategic approach to project purchasing with early integration of procurement strategy into product strategy.
- Build effective collaboration between Procurement and relevant business functions, especially Product Development.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform project sourcing activities from early development stage through mass production and initiate supplier qualification processes.
- Select suppliers and negotiate procurement contracts for new product projects.
- Evaluate Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), analyze cost structures, review manufacturing processes, and identify opportunities for cost optimization and savings.
- Meet target cost requirements through supplier selection and cost management initiatives.
- Implement category strategies within the product development process in close coordination with Material Group Managers.
- Ensure Procurement involvement from the earliest stages of product development.
- Act as the interface between R&D, Quality, and Purchasing teams to improve launch timing, control costs, increase supplier competitiveness, and ensure consistent supplier communication.
- Share sourcing best practices across regions and leverage global procurement engineering resources to standardize sourcing processes.
- Perform other duties assigned by the Management Team.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
- More than 5 years of experience in Procurement Engineering, Sourcing, or Supplier Management.
- Strong understanding of project procurement, supplier markets, functional requirements, market trends, and supplier cost structures.
- Strong technical knowledge, preferably in Injection Molding, Casting, Stamping, or related manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge of purchasing processes, international trade terms, and taxation.
- Good digital literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Experience with ERP or SAP purchasing modules is preferred.
- Good English communication and writing skills.
