NPI Project Manager

About the Role

This position represents the first full level of technical specialization, applying engineering expertise across multiple areas within established professional standards, policies, and objectives. The role supports product development from concept through production, working on complex engineering problems that require data analysis, sound judgement, and cross‑functional collaboration. The incumbent may lead small project teams, influence stakeholders outside the immediate team, and is accountable for the quality of work delivered, including that of external suppliers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Solid foundation in design engineering, manufacturing processes, materials, and quality standards.
• Strong understanding of PCB, subassembly, and system‑level manufacturing environments.
• Experience with DFx, SPC methodologies, and process optimization techniques.
• Ability to analyze data, diagnose problems, and develop effective engineering solutions.
• Strong communication, presentation, and customer‑facing skills.
• Proficiency in IT systems, databases, and relevant engineering tools is an advantage.
• Self‑motivated, detail‑oriented, and capable of working independently while contributing effectively within cross‑functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support for prototype builds, ensuring timely and cost‑effective completion and smooth transition into production.
• Interpret customer specifications and translate requirements into clear, manufacturable solutions.
• Act as a technical interface for customers throughout the product lifecycle, from initial concept through obsolescence.
• Support product design, assembly, and test development, including DFx analysis and process feedback.
• Assist in equipment selection, programming, and first‑run manufacturing support.
• Develop and implement assembly and test strategies to improve efficiency, quality, and reliability.
• Troubleshoot technical and manufacturing challenges, performing root‑cause analysis and recommending corrective actions.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure successful product handoff to manufacturing.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
