Currently seeking a highly accomplished and results-driven Golf General Manager. This critical leadership role is responsible for the overall strategic, financial, and operational performance, championship-standard golf facility located within a premier sports and wellness resort complex in a high-growth region of Thailand. The Director of Golf Operations will ensure the golf experience consistently meets international, world-class standards for quality and service.
- Minimum of 7 years in Senior Golf Management, with at least 3 years successfully managing a complex, high-volume golf operation at the General Manager or Director of Golf level.
- Proven experience with comprehensive P&L accountability, budgeting, cost control, and strategic revenue optimization.
- Deep functional knowledge of golf course maintenance (turf management), Pro Shop retail, F&B integration, and tournament hosting.
- Experience in the Southeast Asian golf market is highly preferred, demonstrating an understanding of regional customer behavior and tour operator dynamics.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. Fluency in Formal Business English is required; proficiency in Thai is a distinct advantage.
- Demonstrated ability to lead large, multinational teams and drive service excellence in a dynamic hospitality environment.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Affiliation with a recognized professional body (e.g., PGA, CMAA) is highly valued.
- Develop and execute comprehensive business plans to maximize profitability. Hold full P&L responsibility for the Golf division, overseeing annual operating and capital expenditure (CAPEX) budgets and reporting key financial metrics to Executive Management.
- Direct all facets of daily golf operations, including the Clubhouse, Pro Shop, Driving Range, and Tee Time management. Ensure efficient, high-quality service delivery across all touchpoints, with a specific focus on elevating Caddy service standards.
- Work in close partnership with the Golf Course Superintendent to maintain the 27-hole championship course at impeccable standards, suitable for hosting international-level tournaments.
- Design and implement a robust sales and marketing strategy to drive high utilization, optimize green fee revenue, and secure lucrative corporate and wholesale business from both domestic and international markets.
- Act as the primary ambassador for the golf facility, cultivating strong relationships with key stakeholders, including members, corporate clients, tour operators, and internal resort departments.
- Lead, mentor, and motivate a large, diverse operational team to foster a culture of excellence, high performance, and exceptional hospitality.
