Our client is a global leader in commercial vehicles and automotive interior components and suspension seats, operates in over 19 countries, with a commitment to sustainability and social responsibility. Their Global Business Center (GBC) in Nis plays a crucial role in supporting global business operations by integrating essential functions such as accounting, procurement, HR, IT and sales. As a shared services center, GBC provides transactional services, expert support, and data analysis to their various locations worldwide, ensuring efficiency and streamlining processes across departments.

We are seeking Migration Expert to join their growing team and contribute to the continued success of the organization.

The Migration Expert plays a crucial role in supporting the migration of data from legacy systems as part of digital transformation initiatives. This position involves writing scripts, managing data migration, and ensuring data integrity throughout the process. The role requires technical expertise, strong problem-solving skills, and collaboration with IT and business teams to ensure a seamless transition to modern platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Data Migration & Script Development (40%)

•   Develop and execute scripts for migrating engineering- and product-related data (EBOM/MBOM, CAD metadata, process structures) from legacy systems into PLM.

•   Clean, transform, and validate complex technical datasets to ensure accuracy and structural consistency.

•   Troubleshoot migration issues (BOM structures, relationships, classifications, references) to minimize business disruption.

2. Documentation & Compliance Management (20%)

•   Document migration logic, data models, structures, and transformation rules clearly and transparently.

•   Ensure compliance with PLM data governance, engineering change procedures, and corporate standards.

•   Contribute to the definition of best practices for handling engineering data (CAD, BOM, change objects).

3. Communication & Coordination (20%)

•   Work closely with R&D, PLM experts, CAD teams, manufacturing engineering, and IT.

•   Translate engineering requirements into migration logic and data transformation rules.

•   Act as a central contact point for PLM data migration topics and technical issue resolution.

4. Quality Assurance & Process Improvement (20%)

•   Perform PLM-specific validation (BOM consistency, versioning, revision rules, lifecycle states).

•   Conduct post-migration checks to ensure data integrity within PLM processes (change management, CAD integrations, workflows).

•   Drive continuous improvement for migration tools and methodologies to increase speed and quality.

Requirements:

•  Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, Business Management, or related field. 

•   A minimum of 5 years’ experience in operational process improvement, preferably in a multinational corporation. 

•   Expertise in process mapping, statistical analysis, and performance metrics and experiences in SAP as well as MES systems. 

•   Proficiency in Lean, Six Sigma, and other process improvement methodologies. 

•   Effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work across cultural boundaries. 

•   Project management certifications such as PMP are beneficial.
