Junior Accountant with IFRS

Adecco is recruiting for its client, one of the largest insurance and financial services companies in the world, for the position of Junior Accounting Professional based in Bucharest.

-       Brilliant academic background and master’s degree in accounting, finance, economics (or equivalent);

-       Good knowledge of Insurance accounting process, general ledger functions and financial statements.

-       Good knowledge of international accounting standards (IAS/IFRS);

-       Understanding of insurance regulations, particularly concerning Solvency II requirements (e.g. MVBS, QRTs).

-       Must have at least 1/2 years’ experience in accounting or finance.

-       Highly motivated, goal-oriented and ability to meet the deadlines in a challenging environment.

-       Strong problem-solving and team working attitude.

-       Proactivity and ability to reduce complexity and to find pragmatic solutions.

-       Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (i.e., Excel, Word, Power Point);

-       Fluent English, international minded.

Nice to have:

-       Good knowledge of accounting data models, SAP GL/Tagetik software and master data management process.

-       Knowledge of the Italian language will be considered a plus.

-       Experience in Big 4 accounting firms is considered a plus.

·      Support in defining, developing and updating the Group financial data model consisting of group accounting manual and related guidelines, chart of accounting, reporting hierarchies and data validations.

·      Support in managing and monitoring running operations closing and reporting processes on a quarterly basis.

·      Support in defining the implementation of the CFO processes of the future next years.     

·      Support in managing the integration and adoption of new accounting principles and practices.

·      Preparation and analysis of financial reports for senior management and stakeholders, ensuring compliance with international accounting standards (IFRS) and regulatory requirements.
