General Ledger Team Leader

Client Description:
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented General Ledger Team Leader to join our Clients finance team. In this role, you will lead a team of accounting professionals responsible for general ledger operations, month-end closings, and financial reporting. You will play a key role in ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal controls while driving continuous process improvements.

Candidate Profile:
- University degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CIMA, ACCA, or equivalent is a
- plus).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or team leadrole.
- Strong knowledge of general ledger processes, financial reporting, and accounting principles.
- Practical knowledge of international accounting standards and processes of internal controlling. Working knowledge of US GAAP will be an advantage.
- Experience working in a shared service center or international environment preferred.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and MS Office, especially Excel.
- Fluent in English and Polish; additional languages are an asset.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor experienced accounting team, providing support, training, and performance feedback.
- Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness of journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Collaborate with other finance departments, auditors, and external stakeholders.
- Maintain and improve internal accounting controls and procedures.
- Support process standardization and automation initiatives.
- Timely production of monthly US GAAP financial reports.
- Support for consolidation of the financial reports for US and worldwide reporting.
