Assembly Technician

Do you have experience as an assembly technician working on large machines or as an automotive mechanic? Do you work accurately and neatly? Would you like to work on high-quality excavators? Then this vacancy is for you! Hitachi in Amsterdam Westpoort is looking for enthusiastic assembly technicians with relevant experience.

As an Assembly Technician at Hitachi, you will contribute to building, testing, and improving components for modern excavators. You will work full-time in a day shift (7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.) and start with a 40-hour per week temporary contract through an employment agency, with the prospect of a permanent position at Hitachi upon good performance.

Your responsibilities:

• Assembling components according to clear work instructions
• Performing quality checks and minor technical adjustments
• Inspecting, testing, and improving the assembly process
• Identifying malfunctions and contributing to solutions
• Working with modern tools and safe working methods
• Consulting with colleagues in production and the technical department
• Actively contributing to a clean and safe workplace

• Gross hourly wage between €17.00 and €19.94
• 27 vacation days and 8% holiday allowance
• Travel allowance of €0.23 per kilometer

• Proven experience in assembly or technical/mechanical installation
• Strong technical insight and mechanical aptitude
• Proficiency in Dutch or English
• Accurate, safety-conscious, and independent working style
