Sales Engineer

As a Sales Engineer based in South Korea, you will provide pre-sales technical support for application security solutions within the assigned territory. This role involves working closely with prospects and customers to demonstrate the value of advanced cybersecurity technologies and ensure successful adoption.

Key Competencies:

• Participate in sales calls and prospect meetings, delivering tailored product demonstrations both in person and via virtual platforms.
• Collaborate with the sales team to develop strategies that drive business growth.
• Act as a technical resource at industry events, trade shows, and conferences when required.
• Manage on-site product evaluations and assist with post-sale installations as needed.
• Serve as the primary technical liaison for customers, helping them maximize the value of their security investments and expand use cases.
• Plan, manage, and execute proof-of-value engagements for prospective clients.

An Ideal Candidate:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in technology, cybersecurity, pre-sales consulting, solution architecture, risk & governance, or project management. Experience with major consulting firms is a plus.
• Familiarity with IAM, DevSecOps, CI/CD practices, cloud security, and platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Knowledge of regulatory frameworks (e.g., GDPR, PCI, SOX, HIPAA) and security domains such as network security, database administration, and application development.
• Strong interest in advancing a career in pre-sales consulting with a leading cybersecurity vendor.
• Understanding of South Korea’s market trends and experience engaging with local customers.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both business and technical stakeholders.

Preferred Skills:

• Expertise in areas such as Web Application & API Protection, Bot Protection, Client-Side Protection, DNS security, RASP, DDoS mitigation, Data Activity Monitoring, Database Firewalls, and Data Privacy.
• Proficiency in scripting or automation languages.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+) are highly advantageous.
• Fluency in Korean and English.
