Water Resources Engineer - Intermediate

- Work in a collaborative team environment and with senior staff to identify innovative solutions, project opportunities, and deliver water resource projects.
- Prepare technical documents including reports, technical specifications, and construction drawing packages, ranging from feasibility studies to detailed design, cost estimates, and construction services.
- Manage projects, including preparing proposals, developing work plans, fee estimates, invoicing, change orders, and budget tracking.
- Interact and interface with clients, regulators, and the public.
- Manage projects such as flood emergency response, river/creek modelling, fish habitat enhancement, flow diversions, and scour/erosion assessments.
- Take on the role of Engineer of Record when required.
- Perform field visits and inspections in varying outdoor environments, including remote sites and varying terrain conditions.
- Legal eligibility to work and reside in Canada.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering (with experience in water resources).
- Registered or eligible for registration with EGBC as a Professional Engineer.
- 8-10 years of experience in water resources or related fields.
- Proficiency in hydraulic modelling software and familiarity with hydrologic analysis.
- Knowledge of flood hazard mapping, flood inundation, and related water resources technologies.
- Strong experience in the design, construction, and inspection of water resource projects.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
- Ability to track multiple tasks and meet deadlines while managing client expectations.
- A desire to learn new skills and develop professionally within the role.
- Valid driver’s license in good standing.
- Ability to conduct field visits, handle and operate equipment, and work outdoors in all weather conditions and varying terrain.
