Burden Analyst
Adecco is currently hiring a full-time detail-oriented and experienced Burden Analyst with a strong accounting background to join our client’s team in Calgary, AB, who specialize in the oil and gas industry. You will be responsible for ensuring that the organization complies with all relevant statutory, regulatory, and legal obligations. This role requires strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of compliance frameworks, and the ability to collaborate effectively with various departments to maintain and enhance our compliance standards.

Responsibilities:
Conduct statutory burden reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.
Analyze financial data and prepare detailed reports on statutory compliance.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to address discrepancies and resolve issues.
Monitor changes in statutory regulations and update reconciliation processes accordingly.
Assist in the preparation of statutory financial statements and reports.
Support audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
Ensure compliance with industry-specific regulations, including environmental and safety standards.
Qualifications:
Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or Finance, or a related field.
A Payroll diploma or understands the Canadian payroll system is required.
Proven experience in Burden analysis, with a focus on Statutory burden reconciliation (e.g employment burdens, CPP, EI)
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Proficiency in accounting software, SAP and Power BI is an asset.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
