Rear Load Operator

Adecco is currently seeking a dedicated and reliable Rear Load Operator for a temporary position in Saint John, NB. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely and efficiently driving a rear-load tandem truck on assigned routes to fulfill contractual requirements. This position requires a focus on safety, attention to detail, and the ability to work as part of a team.

• Shifts: Monday-Friday

Responsibilities:

• Drive a rear-load tandem truck safely and efficiently on assigned routes to meet contractual requirements.

• Perform daily pre- and post-trip inspections of assigned truck to ensure its safety and operability.

• Report to Dispatcher for start times, return times, and any updates.

• Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment, adjusting to varying traffic and road conditions.

• Maintain constant communication with supervisors via radio or phone for delivery instructions and status updates.

• Report maintenance or repair needs promptly to Supervisor.

• Adhere to safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe work environment for all employees.

• Complete daily driver check-ins, ensuring all paperwork is accurate and up to date.

• Ensure compliance with all legal and company-specific safety standards.

• Perform other duties as required by the Supervisor.

Requirements:

• Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada.

• Valid Class 3 Driver’s License with Air Brakes.

• Must provide a Driver’s Abstract.

• Ability to follow a firm work schedule as directed by the Supervisor.

• Strong communication skills to ensure smooth collaboration with co-workers and supervisors.

• Ability to work well in a team environment and be adaptable to changing priorities.

• Prior experience in waste management or recycling is preferred but not required.

• Ability to operate all necessary equipment in a safe and responsible manner.

• Must be dedicated to working safely at all times.
