Are you a dynamic leader with a passion for optimizing production processes? Adecco is hiring a Production Supervisor for a temporary position until mid-October 2025. In this role, you will lead a team of production employees, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and ensure seamless manufacturing operations while maintaining high safety and quality standards.

  • Location: Ottawa, ON

  • Schedule: Monday - Friday

  • Employment Type: Full-time | Temporary | Until October 2025

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop a team of 37 production employees across 2.5 production shifts

  • Supervise operations, ensuring adherence to corporate policies and procedures

  • Process staff time records and leave requests using corporate applications

  • Ensure accurate and up-to-date training plans for employees

  • Promote collaboration between departments to enhance production effectiveness

  • Coach, train, and develop employees through performance management

  • Maintain a safe work environment, encourage hazard reporting, and enforce EH&S guidelines

  • Investigate safety incidents and implement corrective actions in collaboration with EH&S

  • Conduct safety and ergonomic assessments, implementing 5S practices

  • Monitor production performance indicators, analyze variances, and drive improvements

  • Apply lean management principles, use visual controls, and drive daily accountability

  • Participate in Kaizen events and process improvement initiatives

  • Ensure production equipment operates within specifications and recommend optimizations

Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Science, or a related field OR equivalent work experience in manufacturing leadership

  • Minimum 3+ years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in regulated industries (pharmaceutical, food, chemical processing)

  • Experience with hiring, performance management, and employee relations

Skills & Abilities:

  • Must be eligible to reside and work within Canada.

  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills to coach and develop employees

  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written) in English

  • Ability to handle changing priorities and make informed decisions under pressure

  • Experience with MRP systems (preferably SAP)

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Visio, MS Project)

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to implement corrective/preventive actions

  • Knowledge of FDA, cGMP, GDP, and ISO standards is a plus

  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
