Adecco is currently hiring a full-time dedicated and experienced Inspector Advisor to support SO₂ Reduction Projects by overseeing quality inspection activities and maintaining strong relationships with contractors, fabricators, and equipment vendors for our client’s team in Sarnia, ON. In his role you will play a key role in ensuring compliance with quality standards, technical specifications, and safety regulations.

  • Location: Sarnia, ON

  • Shift:  5 days per week

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee contractor, vendor, and fabricator compliance with inspection and quality requirements.

  • Review and approve Vendor ITPs, weld/NDE procedures, and quality manuals.

  • Conduct vendor drawing reviews for piping, towers, drums, exchangers, and steel modules.

  • Witness and document hydrotests and fabrication hold points; coordinate with local inspectors as needed.

  • Identify and report quality deviations or non-conformances.

  • Write inspection reports and Inspection Release Notices (IRNs).

  • Collaborate with QA/QC leads, engineers, and site teams to ensure readiness for module delivery.

  • Monitor punch list closeouts and support the Construction Surveillance Program.

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and statutory quality requirements.

  • Troubleshoot quality/inspection issues during project execution.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum eight years of related QA/QC inspection experience in Oil & Gas or industrial projects.

  • Strong understanding of fabrication and construction standards and inspection practices.

  • Certification in one of the following: CWB Level 2, API 510, or API 570.

  • Experience with vendor inspections, quality documentation, and final equipment release.

  • Knowledge of Aconex is an asset.

  • Willing and able to travel for inspections as needed.

  • Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
