Engineer Designer - CO2 Refrigeration
Adecco is actively seeking a highly skilled CO2 Refrigeration Engineering Designer/Specialist to join our client’s team in Brantford, ON. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, development, and testing of CO2 refrigeration products, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and driving innovation within the company’s R&D projects.

- Assist in the design and development of CO2 refrigeration systems, applying your thorough understanding of CO2 refrigerant operations, manufacturing processes, and materials.
- Ensure designs meet industry standards (e.g., UL, CSA, ASHRAE). Assist in creating comprehensive engineering documentation, including specifications, test results, and operational guides.
- Use your expertise to optimize CO2 system designs, solving complex engineering challenges and driving product innovations. Manage prototyping and testing phases, analyzing data for further design refinements.
- Oversee and manage BOMs for designated products, ensuring quality and accuracy. Release BOMs to the production/manufacturing departments in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering and Production departments to optimize material usage, improve assembly processes, and resolve production issues.
- Lead various R&D initiatives, managing projects from concept through to completion.
- Participate in lab tests, select lab equipment, and contribute to equipment setup.
- Legal eligibility to work and reside in Canada.
- Mechanical Engineering Diploma/Degree or equivalent.
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience in commercial/industrial refrigeration or a related field, with at least 2 years of specific expertise in CO2 systems.
- Proficiency in 2-D and 3-D CAD software, experience with Microsoft Office products, and a high level of comfort with computer software and programs.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with CO2 systems is a significant asset.
