Role Purpose

Responsible for initiating and expanding business activities in Vietnam by gathering market insights, identifying opportunities, and establishing a network of partners to support the growth of service offerings across the asset lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

1. Market Research & Analysis

  • Study and assess the local market related to technical and lifecycle services for assets (design, build, operation, maintenance, sustainability, etc.).
  • Prepare periodic reports outlining market segments, characteristics, and strategic differentiation.
  • Monitor and evaluate competitors, mapping their strengths, weaknesses, and positioning.
  • Track industry developments, regulatory updates, technology adoption, and trends relevant to the sector.
  • Identify and categorize potential customers and key stakeholders.
  • Explore and connect with relevant associations or groups to broaden industry engagement.

2. Network Development & Partner Management

  • Build and nurture relationships with intermediaries, agents, or business partners who can support growth.
  • Identify and onboard potential partners capable of generating new business opportunities.
  • Guide, motivate, and align partners with business objectives to ensure performance.
  • Address issues related to underperforming or misaligned partners.

3. Communication & Representation

  • Represent the company professionally in interactions with clients, authorities, and relevant organizations.
  • Introduce service offerings to potential customers across different stages of the asset lifecycle.
  • Report market findings, opportunity updates, and business development progress to management.

4. Entrepreneurial Drive & Initiative

  • Take proactive ownership in building business operations from early-stage setup with limited resources.
  • Maintain productivity and motivation while working independently or when results require long-term effort.
  • Develop a 90-day action plan upon joining to drive early business development activities.

5. Fit, Motivation & Development Potential

  • Demonstrate strong motivation and alignment with organizational values.
  • Balance business development responsibilities with coordination and operational tasks.
  • Show potential for long-term contribution and growth within the organization.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Quality and regularity of market analysis reports.
  • Completeness and accuracy of competitor assessments.
  • Timeliness of industry and regulatory trend updates.
  • Number and quality of developed customer profiles.
  • Engagement level with associations and industry groups.
  • Number of new partners identified and activated.
  • Volume of new business leads or opportunities generated.
  • Quality and usefulness of market intelligence delivered to management.

Requirement:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, Architecture, or related disciplines (preferred).
  • At least 3 years of experience in business development, market research, or partner/agency management - ideally within technical, construction-related, or similar service industries.
  • Strong analytical and market research capabilities.
  • Proven relationship-building and networking skills.
  • Experience working with partners, agents, or intermediaries.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work independently.
  • Fluency in Vietnamese and English.
  • Understanding of lifecycle-related services or technical service markets is a plus.
