Job Summary

The Senior Sales Manager will play a key role in driving the company’s market expansion and strengthening its presence in Vietnam. This position oversees the development and execution of a comprehensive sales strategy, manages major accounts, and provides leadership to the sales organization to achieve ambitious business goals. The role emphasizes sustainable commercial development, distributor management, and value-based selling while maintaining the company’s reputation as a trusted partner in industrial related solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Sales Planning & Execution
    • Develop and implement a strategic sales roadmap aligned with regional growth objectives, with a focus on expanding market share and revenue in Vietnam.
    • Identify and prioritize high-potential accounts using market intelligence, competitor benchmarking, and sales data.
    • Build tactical action plans for key accounts, covering the full sales cycle from prospecting to closure.
    • Foster long-term, profitable client partnerships while positioning the company as a value-driven solutions provider.
    • Expand reach into new verticals such as manufacturing, automotive, and broader industrial sectors.
    • Partner with product, marketing, and technical teams to customize solutions for the local market.
    • Regularly track market performance and refine strategies using customer insights and sales analytics.
  • Distributor & Channel Management
    • Manage and grow the distributor network to meet annual commercial objectives and strengthen market coverage.
    • Maintain strong, collaborative relationships with distributors to ensure alignment with strategic direction and value proposition.
    • Monitor distributor performance and provide coaching or support to enhance outcomes.
    • Develop channel strategies centered on sustainable and profitable growth.
    • Evaluate and onboard new distributors to enhance regional penetration.
  • Forecasting & Demand Planning
    • Oversee accurate sales forecasting to maintain optimal stock levels and reduce the risk of shortages or excess.
    • Work closely with supply chain and logistics teams to secure timely delivery and minimize operational disruptions.
    • Leverage market analytics and historical data to support forecasting and business planning.
    • Adjust demand forecasts proactively in response to changing market trends and customer requirements.
  • Sales Team Leadership & Development
    • Lead, inspire, and manage the sales team to achieve annual targets, establishing clear KPIs and monitoring performance.
    • Build a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and high performance.
    • Conduct structured performance evaluations and provide actionable feedback.
    • Facilitate cross-department communication and collaboration.
    • Implement training programs focused on value-based selling, negotiation, and customer engagement.
  • Brand Building
    • Promote a value-selling approach by delivering solutions that create measurable benefits for customers.
    • Strengthen the company’s brand reputation through professional customer interactions and consistent service quality.
    • Partner with marketing to develop and execute communication and promotional initiatives.
    • Enhance brand visibility through targeted events, sponsorships, and industry partnerships.
    • Ensure sales activities reinforce long-term brand-building strategies.
  • Organizational Leadership & Compliance
    • Ensure adherence to corporate policies, procedures, and ethical standards.
    • Support HR processes such as recruitment, onboarding, and performance management.
    • Drive sustainability initiatives and risk-management efforts, including client diversification and distributor oversight.
    • Contribute to budgeting, mid-term planning, and performance evaluation processes.
  • Additional Responsibilities
    • Represent the company at conferences, industry events, and professional associations in Vietnam.
    • Continuously seek value-driven innovations to strengthen customer and partner relationships.
    • Lead digital transformation within the sales function, including CRM optimization and analytics adoption.
    • Identify key business risks in the Vietnamese market and implement mitigation strategies.
    • Support cross-border initiatives and regional collaboration when required.


Qualifications & Experience Requirements

  • Education
    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degrees (MBA or equivalent) are an advantage.
    • Proficiency in both Vietnamese and English (written and spoken).
  • Experience
    • 10–12 years of sales experience, including at least 6 years in relevant industrial or metalworking-related sectors.
    • Strong background in sales leadership, key account management, and distributor/channel development.
    • Solid understanding of Vietnam’s industrial landscape and market behaviors.
    • Proven ability to create and execute sales strategies that support sustainable growth.
    • Experience working within Southeast Asia’s complex and dynamic sales environments.
    • Demonstrated capability in leading high-performing teams and driving cross-functional alignment.
    • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to balance short-term goals with long-term business priorities.
    • Comfortable navigating change and managing transformations with a focus on continuous improvement.
    • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
    • Willingness to travel as needed.
