Our client, a newly established apparel sourcing company, is seeking a Senior Manager, Merchandising to lead the Asia Merchandising team. This role will oversee seasonal sourcing strategies and manage end-to-end execution across the group.

  • Product Allocation Governance: Ensure style allocation aligns with sourcing strategy; track actual vs. target performance; manage factory capacity development and escalate risks as needed.
  • Tech Pack Handover: Oversee completeness of pattern/SKU handover at brand level; resolve specification locks and remove blockers in collaboration with Design, R&D, and vendors.
  • Critical Path Management: Work with brand teams to establish calendar milestones; lead weekly OTP reviews; eliminate bottlenecks related to lab dips, strike-offs, fit approvals, materials, and sampling.
  • Sampling: Confirm sample quantities and timelines; monitor deliveries and invoicing; review prototypes and pre-production samples; maintain sealed sample records.
  • Costing: Ensure timely costing submissions; validate cost breakdowns; lead negotiations with Materials team to optimize brand margins.
  • Product Engineering: Collaborate with brands and factories to enhance manufacturing efficiency and reduce costs through development.
  • Buy-Ready Management: Secure timely line lock and buy release; maintain PLM/ERP accuracy; publish BR/OTR reports.
  • Vendor Capability Development: Strengthen T1/T2 technical and process capabilities; implement best practices and new technologies.
  • Issue Resolution: Manage daily delivery and quality performance with T1/T2; drive corrective actions and communicate risks to stakeholders.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Partner with Planning, Materials, Quality, and Logistics teams to achieve KPIs.
  • People Management: Set objectives, coach team members, and plan for succession.
  • Compliance & Sustainability: Ensure adherence to company standards, product integrity, and social/environmental requirements in partnership with brand technical teams.

  • 12+ years of experience in apparel merchandising, with strong expertise in product development, costing, and material development.
  • In-depth knowledge of apparel manufacturing processes, garment construction, fabrics, and trims.
  • 7+ years in a managerial role; prior experience in building teams from the ground up and shaping team culture is highly desirable.
  • Background in activewear or performance wear is preferred but others are also welcome.
  • Excellent proficiency in both written and spoken English and Vietnamese.
