Adecco's client operates in the steel and industrial materials industry, supporting construction, manufacturing, and infrastructure projects across multiple markets.

The Production Programmer plays a key support role in our manufacturing operations by generating and managing production programs for key machinery – primarily the Amada Plasma Cutter and Voortman beam line processing machines.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Relevant technical or trade qualification (completed or in progress) in engineering, manufacturing, drafting, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with CNC programming, CAD/CAM software, or production systems (advantageous but not essential as training will be provided).
  • Understanding of steel fabrication or structural steel detailing is desirable.
  • Computer literacy (Microsoft Office and general file systems).
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and workshop documentation.
  • Self-awareness to seek advice and assistance when needed.
  • Ability to take ownership and responsibility for activities and minor projects.
  • Administrative capability to manage Quality, OHS & E, and company documentation.
  • Neat and tidy professional appearance and pleasant manner.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English and Vietnamese.

Key Responsibilities

  • Program and prepare files for machinery, including:
      • Amada plasma cutting machine (for precision cutting of plate and sheet steel)
      • Voortman beam line and plate processing machines (cutting, drilling, milling, etc.)
  • Schedule, nest and batch machine files from workshop drawings and Tekla Powerfab into accurate and optimised machine programs.
  • Review and validate drawings and material lists for accuracy and production suitability.
  • Support production coordination by ensuring timely availability of programs in line with project schedules.
  • Liaise with workshop supervisors and machine operators to clarify program details and respond to any issues or errors.
  • Maintain program libraries, templates, and documentation to ensure quality and traceability.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives in programming accuracy, efficiency, and safety.
  • Assist with production tracking and reporting as required.
  • Ensure compliance with internal quality, safety, and environmental management systems.
  • Assist in all tasks delegated by the Production Manager or Executive Management team.
