Adecco's Client - the global leading Life Insurance company is looking for potential candidates to fill in the Investment Accountant (8-month contract) with the below information:



Responsibilities:

1. Investment Accounting (50%)

  • Monitor investment cash flow, prepare payment requests, and follow up to ensure timely fund allocation for investment activities.
  • Prepare and maintain investment cash flow reports and related reconciliations.
  • Review and verify investment-related accounting entries and transactions in the general ledger.
  • Perform reconciliations of investment holdings, cash balances, sub-ledgers, and valuation unit accounts to ensure accounting accuracy.
  • Process and monitor local ledger accounting entries and resolve outstanding posting items.
  • Coordinate with IT, Operations, and relevant stakeholders to investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies, system issues, and posting errors in CAS.
  • Manage investment-related invoices, supporting documents, reconciliation records, and document archiving.
  • Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities for investment accounting.

2. Product Accounting (30%)

  • Coordinate with internal departments and cross-functional teams to investigate, monitor, and resolve accounting or operational issues related to insurance products.
  • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for new products and system enhancements by executing test cases, identifying issues, and validating business requirements before implementation.

3. Reporting & Compliance (20%)

  • Prepare, consolidate, and maintain statutory, management, and regulatory reports for assigned accounting functions.
  • Support Ministry of Finance (MOF) inspections and audits by providing required financial data and supporting documentation.
  • Maintain proper filing and archiving of monthly, quarterly, and annual regulatory reports in compliance with internal policies and document retention requirements.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders to collect, validate, and consolidate financial information for reporting purposes.

4. Other Responsibilities (10%)

  • Perform other accounting duties, projects, and ad hoc assignments as assigned by the Manager

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Auditing, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in Accounting, preferably in Insurance, Banking, Financial Services, or Audit.
  • Solid understanding of general accounting principles, month-end/year-end closing, reconciliations, and cash flow management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP/Accounting systems is an advantage.
  • Good analytical skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, work under pressure, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills to work effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Proactive, responsible, and able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team.
  • Good English reading, writing & email communication
