Our client, a company specializing in food processing is hiring a potential candidate for the Engineering Manager.
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Engineering or relevant technical disciplines (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Industrial, Refrigeration, or related).
- Proficient in office and engineering software (MS Word, Excel, AutoCAD or equivalent).
- Formal training in maintenance systems, TPM, Lean, or reliability engineering is a strong advantage.
1. Engineering Leadership & Department Control
Full ownership of Engineering Department operations, including maintenance, utilities, projects, and technical services.
Lead, structure, and continuously develop the engineering team; build technical capability, discipline, and accountability.
Establish clear KPIs related to equipment availability, downtime, safety, cost, and project delivery.
2. Maintenance & Asset Reliability
Develop and execute preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance strategies for all machinery, utilities, and factory infrastructure.
Ensure equipment uptime aligned with production requirements and business priorities.
Drive systematic reduction of equipment downtime, breakdown frequency, and maintenance costs.
Generate, assign, coordinate, and supervise all work orders through effective planning and workforce deployment.
3. Process Optimization & Continuous Improvement
Identify, analyze, and resolve equipment and process issues impacting safety, quality, cost, and output.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on process optimization, energy efficiency, and resource utilization.
Proactively propose and develop alternative technical solutions to improve production processes and support new product requirements.
4. Safety, Compliance & Risk Management
Ensure a safe working environment for all factory personnel and contractors.
Enforce engineering safety standards, machine safety, utilities safety, and contractor management.
Supervise external service providers and ensure full compliance with safety, technical, and contractual requirements.
5. Project & Cost Management
Support equipment selection, technical specifications, installation, commissioning, and start-up of new lines or systems.
Participate in negotiations with suppliers and service providers to optimize technical solutions and reduce capital and maintenance costs.
Manage spare parts strategy and inventory to ensure critical availability while controlling working capital.
6. Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with Production, Quality, Supply Chain, and other departments to develop the best technical and process solutions.
Provide engineering input to support new product development, customer requirements, and factory capability expansion.
7. People Development
Coach, train, and mentor engineers and technicians.
Structure onboarding, technical training, and knowledge-transfer programs.
Build a culture of continuous learning, ownership, and technical excellence
