ROLE PURPOSE
The Business Developer – Peptides is responsible for developing and expanding the peptide business across South East Asia with greater focus in Vietnam by combining commercial development, technical coordination, and field-level execution.
The role bridges, propsecting for new accounts, sales, customer support, and technical delivery, ensuring that our line of functional ingredient from marine sources compose a nutrition solution and are not only sold, but properly implemented, validated, and scaled with customers (feed mills, integrators, and professional farms) across all species in livestock, aquaculture and petfood.
This position plays a key role in building a reliable product + service delivery chain, from opportunity identification to post-sale technical validation.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Business Development & Sales
- Identify, approach, and develop feed mills, integrators, and professional farms as customers for peptide-based solutions.
- Manage the full sales cycle: prospecting, technical discussion, proposal preparation, negotiation, and closing.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with key decision-makers (nutritionists, production managers, owners).
- Achieve agreed sales and margin targets within the assigned territory.
- Provide structured feedback on customer needs, pricing sensitivity, and competitive positioning.
- Technical Solution Positioning – 1st Level
- Develop an understanding of the peptide portfolio, including mode of action, application, limitations, and expected ROI.
- Support customers in correct product positioning, dosage, and integration into existing formulations or feeding programs.
- Act as the technical-commercial interface between customers and internal product manager, marketing and R&D teams.
- Participate with autonomy in customer meetings, farm visits, and troubleshooting discussions when needed to diganose an opportunity.
- Trial Coordination & Field Validation
- Coordinate and support commercial trials to validate peptide performance.
- Work with feed mills, farms, and internal teams to ensure:
- Accurate on-site execution of protocols
- Clear definition of expected success
- Monitor trial implementation, basic data collection, and adherence to agreed protocols.
- Escalate deviations, risks, or operational issues early and propose corrective actions.
- Ensure trials are executed with in production realism, not only with academic rigor.
- Product & Service Delivery Chain Development
- Support the definition of standard operating practices for customer onboarding, trials, and performance follow-up leveling up our internal customer service executions
- Align with logistics, production, and technical teams to ensure reliable execution across countries.
- Market Intelligence & Regional Expansion
- Contribute with the monitoring of market trends, customer strategies, and competitor activity in Vietnam, Cambodia, and Laos.
- Identify opportunities for portfolio expansion, new applications, or bundled service offerings.
- Participate in regional industry events, technical seminars, and trade shows as required.
WORKING CONDITIONS & TRAVEL
- Working place in My Yen,Tay Nhinh Province. Possible WFH 2x week.
- Frequent travel within Vietnam and regular travel to Cambodia and Laos.
- Field-based role with time spent at feed mills, farms, and customer sites.
REQUIREMENT
- Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science, Aquaculture, Agronomy, Biology, or related fields.
- Experience
- 5–8 years of experience in the feed or animal production industry.
- Proven exposure to sales, technical support, or business development roles.
- Hands-on understanding of feed mills, farm operations, or nutrition programs.
- Experience with field trials or product validation is a strong advantage.
- Regional experience in close markets outside Vietnam is a plus.
