Steel Install Travel Technician - 75% Job Site Out-of-State Travel Required

We are a family-owned and operated company that has been designing, building, installing, and servicing custom overhead cranes across the country for over 60 years. We're a growing company with a strong focus on the central US, and we're looking for dedicated and skilled individuals to join our team based out of St. Louis.
As an Installation Travel Technician, you'll be part of a team that brings our customers' visions and designs to life. You'll travel to customer sites across the country, working hand-in-hand with your colleagues to install support columns, runways, crane bridges, hoists, and controls. You'll be responsible for laying out steel, ensuring all parts are present, and using your skills to connect, bolt, and weld steel components to create the finished product.
This is a hands-on job that requires a variety of skills, but don't worry if you don't have experience with cranes! We're looking for someone with a solid installation background, a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and a passion for building things. To be successful in this role, you should have:
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- 2-4 years of experience of steel installation
- Mechanical and electrical skills
- The ability to read and understand blueprints and schematics
- The ability to travel to client sites - travel up to 3 weeks a month
- The ability to work well in a team environment
Bonus points if you have:
- Experience with overhead cranes and hoists
- Welding and fabrication aptitude (a strong benefit)
- Millwright experience (a plus)
- Steel or column setting experience (a plus)
