Service Technician

 

Adecco is hiring for a Service Technician in Pasadena, Tx.  As a Service Technician, you will play a vital role in accurately diagnosing, repairing, and testing all internal and customer-owned gas detection equipment. Your primary responsibilities will include adhering to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), troubleshooting equipment issues, conducting repairs and calibrations, and ensuring the highest quality standards are maintained throughout the process.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

·       Proficiently follow Service Department SOPs, identifying improvement opportunities and providing recommendations to leadership.

·       Perform multiple service processes including internal asset repair, customer-owned repair, iNet, Rental, final test, rework, and product one-piece flow lines with minimal supervision.

·       Conduct meticulous diagnosis and repair of gas detection equipment, including instruments, docking stations, regulators, pumps, area monitors, and connected devices.

·       Complete equipment testing, repairs, and calibrations in accordance with the factory service center and NIST guidelines.

·       Actively engage in continuous improvement initiatives and contribute positively to our culture of continuous improvement.

·       Comply with all product and service bulletins, perform software/firmware updates, and maintain high-quality standards in every transaction.

·       Participate in daily/monthly quality and standardization audits and maintain a clean, safe, and functional work environment.

 

Qualifications Required:

·       Experience with ISC Support Systems (iNet Systems, Salesforce, Oracle, JIRA, Windchill, ServiceDesk).

·       Proficiency in MS Office Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).

·       Strong attention to detail, resourcefulness, flexibility, and ability to work independently or within a team setting.

·       Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide quick resolution to problems.

·       Established commitment to providing the best customer service, every transaction, every time.

·       Highly organized and capable of performing multiple tasks simultaneously.

 

Qualifications Preferred:

·       Two-year associate degree in electronics or equivalent experience.

·       Experience providing excellent customer service in person, by telephone, and through email.

·       Ability to repair surface mount and through-hole PCBs to IPC Class III soldering standards.

·       Knowledge of connected device operation including Wireless (Wi-Fi), Cellular, Ethernet, Bluetooth, Lens, and GPS.

·       Understanding of toxic and explosive gas characteristics.

·       Effective communication skills for providing technical expertise and troubleshooting equipment.

Pay Details: $20.00 per hour
