Physical Therapist
 
Location: Rochester, NY - 14620
Employment Type: Direct-Hire, Permanent
Setting: School
Pay: $52,500-$67,000
Shift: Mon-Fri, 7:30am-4pm
 
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate Degree in PT.
- NY State PT license.
- 6+ months PT experience (New Grads welcome to apply).
- Passion working with patients with developmental disabilities or similar.
 
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop tailored clinical programs for students based on their Individual Education Plans (IEP) through individual or group sessions.
- Provide training and ongoing support to classroom staff.
- Collaborate with team members to assess and create specialized feeding programs to improve oral motor skills.
- Works with parents to establish home programs that support therapy goals and coordinates individual goals with the interdisciplinary team.
- Designs adaptive equipment and ensures compliance with documentation standards while understanding the psychological and medical needs of the student population.
