We are seeking a pharmacist for a locally owned community pharmacy in the Fort Worth, TX area. As the Pharmacist in Charge, you will be responsible for the overall management and operation of the pharmacy. Key Responsibilities:
  1. Regulatory Compliance:
    • Ensure pharmacy operations comply with federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
    • Maintain all necessary licenses and certifications for the pharmacy and its staff.
    • Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure adherence to legal and regulatory standards.
  2. Pharmacy Operations:
    • Oversee daily operations of the pharmacy, including inventory management, prescription processing, and customer service.
    • Implement and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all pharmacy activities.
    • Manage pharmacy budget, including financial planning and cost control measures.
  3. Staff Management:
    • Recruit, train, and supervise pharmacy staff, including pharmacists, technicians, and support staff.
    • Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback and coaching to staff members.
  4. Compounding:
    • Non-Sterile - conform to standards as developed by USP 795. Examples of this type of compounding include gels, suppositories, oral liquids, and generally medications in various dosage forms that are not otherwise commercially available.
    • Sterile - conform to standards as developed by USP 797. Examples of this type of compounding include medications used in various types of “pain pumps” administered by Intravenous.
    • Specialty sterile prescriptions for physicians who need them for patient use, including ophthalmic products, Trimix (ED use), and other prescriptions with multiple ingredients.
    • Admix Antibiotics for those facilities not having a USP 797 approved Sterile Room.
    • Ensure accurate dispensing of medications and provide information on drug interactions, side effects, and proper usage.
  5. Quality Assurance:
    • Develop and implement quality assurance programs to monitor and improve pharmacy services.
    • Investigate and resolve any medication errors or discrepancies.
    • Ensure the safe and proper storage of medications and maintain accurate records.
  6. Customer Service:
    • Foster a positive and professional environment for customers.
    • Address customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly and effectively.
    • Promote health and wellness initiatives within the community
Qualifications:
  • Education: Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an accredited institution, or B.Sc. in Pharmacy
  • Licensure: Active and unrestricted pharmacist license in the state of Texas
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in a sterile compounding environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
    • Must have knowledge of and able to comply with USP 797 and TSBP rules and regulations.
    • Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
    • Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Pay Details: $130,000.00 to $140,000.00 per year
