Position: Paving Foreman
Salary: $24 - $26 per hour
Employment Type: Full-time
Schedule: Monday to Friday
Location: Casper, WY

Overview:
Adecco is currently assisting a local client in Casper, WY, in seeking a hands-on, experienced Paving Foreman to lead and work alongside our paving crew. The Paving Foreman will be responsible for overseeing daily paving operations, ensuring projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards. This working foreman role requires strong leadership, communication skills, and extensive knowledge of paving techniques and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervision and Leadership: Lead a crew of 4-5 paving workers, providing direction, training, and motivation to ensure the successful completion of paving projects.
  • Work Planning and Coordination: Plan daily work schedules, assign tasks, and coordinate with other crews and supervisors to ensure efficient workflow and project progress.
  • Hands-On Work: Actively participate in paving activities, including operating machinery, preparing surfaces, and laying asphalt.
  • Quality Control: Monitor all aspects of paving operations to ensure quality standards are met, including proper compaction, smoothness, and thickness of asphalt layers.
  • Safety Management: Enforce safety protocols and procedures, conduct safety meetings, and ensure all crew members are equipped with the necessary protective gear and follow safe work practices.
  • Equipment Management: Operate and maintain paving equipment, including pavers, rollers, and skid steers. Ensure all equipment is in good working order and arrange for repairs as needed. Mechanical experience with paving equipment is a plus.
  • Problem Solving: Address and resolve any issues that arise during the paving process, such as equipment malfunctions or unexpected site conditions.
  • Communication: Liaise with project managers, inspectors, and other stakeholders to provide updates on project progress, address concerns, and adjust plans as needed.
  • Reporting: Maintain accurate records of daily work activities, including time sheets, material usage, and equipment logs.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in asphalt paving and crew management.
  • Proven experience as a Paving Foreman or similar role, with a strong background in paving and asphalt work.
  • In-depth knowledge of paving processes, equipment, and best practices.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to lead by example and work alongside crew members.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick, effective decisions in the field.
  • Good communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with crew members, supervisors, and other stakeholders.
  • Commitment to safety and the ability to enforce safety protocols consistently.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to perform manual labor, including lifting, standing, and operating equipment for extended periods.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Pay Details: $24.00 to $26.00 per hour
