This role is critical to ensuring smooth case management, efficient communication between clients and attorneys, and the completion of essential administrative and legal tasks. Job Description:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to support attorneys in personal injury defense cases. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in administrative and legal support, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to manage a high-volume caseload.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and organize case files, ensuring accuracy and accessibility.
Schedule meetings, court hearings, depositions, and other appointments.
Answer client calls, provide updates on case status, and collect necessary information.
Maintain and manage attorneys' calendars, tracking deadlines and ensuring timely filings.
Assist attorneys with drafting legal documents, including contracts, letters, pleadings, motions, and court filings.
Organize and prepare documents for attorney review and trial preparation.
File legal documents electronically with state and federal courts, ensuring compliance with court requirements.
Conduct basic legal research to support attorneys in case preparation.
Collect and summarize case-related information and prepare reports as needed.
Act as a liaison between attorneys and clients, ensuring effective communication.
Provide case updates to clients and gather relevant documents or information as required.
Schedule court hearings, depositions, and mediation sessions.
Ensure timely filing of documents with courts and other legal entities.
Qualifications:
2-5 years of experience as a legal assistant, preferably in personal injury defense or a related field.
Strong knowledge of legal terminology, procedures, and documentation.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and legal case management software.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Detail-oriented with the ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills:
Familiarity with medical records, discovery processes, and trial preparation in personal injury cases.
Experience coordinating court filings and schedules for multiple attorneys.
Knowledge of e-filing systems and procedures in state and federal courts.

Pay Details: $45,000.00 to $60,000.00 per year
