Equipment Operator

The Construction Equipment Operator will serve as an Operator I for the construction of stream and wetland restoration projects. This will include equipment operation, manual labor, equipment maintenance, and general upkeep around the project site. This position will be based out of our clients Brentwood, TN office.
Travel duration is typically Monday through Friday but can be days to months, around 75% across Tennessee. Work is seasonally steady and often will require over 40 hours per week. Some weekend work may be required during peak periods. The ability to travel with overnight stays is required.
What your day-to-day might look like?
- Operate heavy equipment in compliance with the operating safety policies and procedures. Equipment to be operated includes but is not limited to the following:
- Hauling trailers
- Excavators (10,000 lbs – 60,000 lbs)
- Tracked dump trucks
- Bulldozers
- Skid loaders
- Tractors
- All-terrain utility vehicles
- Preform basic equipment maintenance
- Assure grade is within allotted tolerances by utilizing survey equipment
- Install and maintain E&S BMP’s to ensure site compliance

Qualifications
Minimum:
- High school Diploma or GED
- Valid Driver's License
- Two years of experience operating an excavator
- Some experience operating equipment, hauling trailers, chainsaws, handheld equipment, etc.
Desired:
- Two years of field experience in ecological restoration, land development, stormwater management, utilities, forestry, or golf course construction
- CDL License
Physical Requirements:
- Willing and able to perform and comply with the following items:
- Ability to lift or carry up to 50 pounds in rough terrain
- Ability to use all standard hand tools and mechanized landscaping equipment
- Ability to operate standard construction equipment
- Strict adherence to safety protocols, including proper PPE requirements
Pay Details: $28.00 to $30.00 per hour
