Adecco is seeking a detail-oriented Dangerous Goods Specialist to join our client’s team in Grand Island, NY.
The Dangerous Goods Specialist will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and compliant transportation, storage, and handling of hazardous materials worldwide. This position requires a deep understanding of international regulations, risk assessment, and training to maintain a safe and compliant environment.

Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Chemistry, Logistics, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in dangerous goods management or a related field, with global or multi-regional experience preferred.
Certifications: IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations (DGR) certification, DOT Hazardous Materials Transportation certification, OSHA 30-hour General Industry certification (preferred), and relevant industry certifications (CDGP, CHMM) are advantageous.
Skills: In-depth knowledge of dangerous goods regulations, risk assessment expertise, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication skills, and a high attention to detail.
Responsibilities
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to local, federal, and international regulations related to dangerous goods transportation and storage.
Risk Management: Conduct risk assessments, develop mitigation strategies, and implement safety protocols.
Training and Development: Develop and deliver training programs to ensure employee knowledge of regulations and safety practices.
Operational Support: Provide guidance and support to operations teams on dangerous goods classification, packaging, labeling, and transportation.
Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and conduct audits to maintain compliance.
Incident Management: Investigate incidents involving dangerous goods and implement corrective actions.
Pay Details: $34.00 per hour
