Adecco and our Client are looking to fill a direct hire role for their team. 

Position Title: Application Engineer

Experience: 5+ years of drafting manufacturing equipment and systems within industrial plants; Experience in Material Handling a plus.

Degree required: Associate or higher in drafting, mechanical technology/engineering, or related field. Additional work experience instead of advanced degrees shall be considered.

CAD Capabilities: Very strong knowledge of 2D and 3D CAD drawing programs (AutoCAD & Inventor specifically); skills in sizing calculation and FEM analysis are a plus.

Certifications: AutoCAD and Inventor certifications are a plus.

Other Software: Proficiency in MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PPT, etc.), SAP, etc.

Field Measurements: Able to accurately and efficiently take critical field measurements when needed.

Soft Skills:

  • Team Player: Must be collaborative and willing to contribute beyond defined roles.
  • Self-motivated: Able to work independently towards set targets.
  • Creativity: Capable of envisioning and implementing solutions in 3D environments.
  • Professionalism: Must conduct oneself appropriately in high-stakes business environments.
  • Positive Attitude: Maintains optimism and drive throughout project cycles.

Travel: Average of approximately 20-30% to industrial customer sites after extensive training in Italy.

Location: Alpharetta, Georgia (Office environment) with travel throughout North America.

Language requirements: English. Spanish or Italian is considered a plus.

Position: Full-Time

Compensation: Competitive, depending upon experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer layouts of Magaldi equipment, and integrate equipment within plant drawings.
  • Detail drawings, layout, bill of materials.
  • Complete mechanical design with traditional or FEM sizing.
  • Design following Technical Specifications and International Standards.
  • Manage relationships across functions and entities for defining new solutions.
  • Prepare technical reports and support commercial offices in identifying technical solutions.
  • Perform field measurements and guide solutions in coordination with the Italian Engineering team.
  • Assist in completing engineering orders for potential projects.
  • Write and proofread technical documentation as required.
