ACCOUNTING SPECIALIST
GRAND PRAIRIE, TX – GRAND PRAIRIE PLANT
As a member of the finance team, the accounting specialist will be responsible for working collectively with the Controller, Assistant Controller and Cost Account, and producing timely and accurate financial analysis and reports for a JIT manufacturing environment
The Role:
Your work will include, but not be limited to:
Processing weekly payroll along with all other payroll reporting and follow up responsibilities
Month-end Journal Entry preparation and Reconciliation and analysis of assigned General Ledger Accounts
Assistant with projects and cost accounting activities
Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable analysis and duties
Cross train in other areas of accounting to act as backup
Other Administration, projects and duties as assigned
Assist with Sarbanes Oxley auditing requirements
Your Qualifications:
Four-year degree in accounting or related field
At least 1 year of accounting experience needed
Candidate must possess strong attention to detail and follow up skills
Demonstrate initiative and the ability to handle multiple responsibilities
Adaptable and able to perform in a fast paced and changing environment
Ability to set and meet workflow deadlines
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Bonus If you Have:
Master’s degree in accounting or related field
Experience with Kronos Payroll Software, Coupa, SAP, and AS400 a plus
Previous experience working in a manufacturing facility
Top 3 Must Have Skills / Abilities
Candidate must possess strong attention to detail and follow up skills
Ability to maintain and enforce strict process to meet regulatory demands.
The ability to set priorities and multitask while meeting strict reporting deadlines.
Special Skills/Software Skills
Microsoft Excel proficiency
SAP and Kronos experience is a plus
Experience Needed Entry Level Degree Required/Certification Requested Bachelor’s degree in accounting Number of years’ experience req’d Entry Level
Pay Details: $30.00 per hour
