Required
- 12+ years of sales leadership experience in the U.S. mattress or sleep products market
- Proven track record working with:
- Mattress retailers or national chains
- Home & sleep-focused e-commerce platforms
- Strong understanding of mattress category economics, including:
- Pricing ladders
- Margin structures
- Retail merchandising dynamics
- Experience launching or scaling new mattress concepts or materials
Preferred
- Experience with air-based, hybrid, or alternative mattress technologies
- Background working with global or Asia-based manufacturing organizations
- Exposure to both traditional retail and DTC/online models
Mattress Market Strategy
- Develop and execute a U.S. mattress market go-to-market strategy, positioning inflatable air-column mattresses as a credible alternative to foam, hybrid, and spring mattresses.
- Define price architecture, product segmentation, and SKU strategy aligned with U.S. consumer sleep preferences.
- Identify high-potential use cases:
- Guest room & temporary sleep solutions
- Space-saving home living
- Portable & modular sleep systems
Channel Development & Key Accounts
- Build and manage mattress-focused sales channels including:
- National and regional mattress retailers
- Home goods and specialty sleep retailers
- E-commerce platforms (Amazon, DTC, omnichannel partners)
- Private label and strategic retail partnerships
- Lead negotiations with major accounts on pricing, margins, merchandising, and sell-through targets.
Sales Leadership & Execution
- Build, lead, and scale the U.S. sales organization.
- Establish forecasting discipline, pipeline management, and performance metrics.
- Drive revenue growth while maintaining healthy channel economics.
Product Commercialization & Market Feedback
- Translate product strengths—TPU durability, patented air-column structure, pressure distribution—into compelling sleep-benefit-driven sales narratives.
- Partner with product and R&D teams to adapt mattress specifications to U.S. market expectations (comfort level, height, firmness perception, accessories).
- Represent the company at mattress and home-related trade shows and industry events.
