【Company Description】

  • The BD Manager plays a pivotal role in accelerating commercial growth by developing strategic client accounts and cultivating long-term partnerships.
  • This position is accountable for identifying new revenue streams while strengthening existing client relationships across healthcare-related sectors.
  • Leveraging strong market insight and a solution-driven mindset, the incumbent will advise clients on tailored medical and marketing communication solutions spanning consumer health, medical devices, and pharmaceutical industries.

【Qualifications】

  • Minimum of 2-5 years’ experience in business development, sales, or key account management, preferably within medical communications, medical education, pharmaceutical, healthcare services, or a comparable environment.
  • Demonstrated commercial orientation with a consistent track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets, ideally within healthcare, life sciences, or media-related industries.
  • Strong digital literacy, with hands-on experience supporting clients through multi-channel engagement and communication strategies.
  • Proven ability to operate effectively within a matrixed organizational structure.
  • Strategic thinker with the capability to identify, evaluate, and capitalize on growth opportunities.
  • Collaborative mindset with experience contributing to high-impact, cross-functional proposal teams.
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and facilitation skills.
  • Solid financial awareness and business judgment.
  • Highly structured, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities simultaneously.

【Responsibilities】

Business Development & Strategic Expansion

  • Proactively initiate and drive new business initiatives within priority accounts to meet or exceed assigned revenue objectives.
  • Formulate and implement account growth strategies in close partnership with internal account and delivery teams.
  • Apply a consultative sales approach to diagnose client needs and recommend customized, value-added solutions.
  • Partner cross-functionally to design innovative service offerings aligned with evolving client expectations.

Client Engagement & Account Management

  • Build and sustain trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders and decision-makers.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of client business priorities, competitive landscape, and market dynamics to uncover upsell and cross-sell opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Account Managers to ensure high-quality execution, service continuity, and client satisfaction.
  • Support the establishment of framework agreements, master service contracts, and preferred vendor arrangements.

Proposal & Commercial Management

  • Oversee and coordinate responses to RFIs, RFPs, and tender processes, ensuring proposals are compelling and commercially competitive.
  • Lead or co-present new business pitches together with internal subject matter experts.
  • Develop pricing models and budget proposals that align client objectives with sustainable profitability.
  • Conduct commercial negotiations with procurement and contracting teams to secure mutually beneficial agreements.
  • Market Insight & Industry Presence
  • Monitor healthcare industry developments, regulatory trends, and competitive activity to inform commercial strategy.
  • Act as a company representative at industry conferences, forums, and professional networking events.
  • Translate external market intelligence into actionable insights to support internal innovation and service enhancement.
