About the Company:
Our Partner is a fast-growing media and content organization focused on creating, producing, and managing high-quality content across multiple platforms.
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is responsible for leading the company’s overall financial strategy, ensuring strong financial governance, sustainable growth, and profitability in a fast-paced, project-based entertainment environment. This role partners closely with the CEO and senior leadership to support business expansion, content investment decisions, and long-term value creation.
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Strategy & Leadership
- Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with the company’s business goals, content roadmap, and growth plans
- Act as a strategic advisor to the CEO and Board on financial planning, investments, and risk management
- Support M&A, partnerships, and new business models (IP monetization, licensing, streaming, sponsorships)
2. Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning across productions, projects, and business units
- Analyze financial performance, project ROI, and cost efficiency for content, talent, and production investments
- Provide actionable insights and financial models to support green-lighting decisions
3. Accounting, Reporting & Compliance
- Ensure accurate financial reporting in accordance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements
- Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes
- Manage audits, tax planning, and statutory compliance
4. Cash Flow & Treasury Management
- Monitor cash flow, working capital, and liquidity to support project-based revenue cycles
- Manage relationships with banks, investors, and financial institutions
- Optimize funding structures for productions and large-scale projects
5. Risk Management & Governance
- Establish strong internal controls, financial policies, and risk management frameworks
- Identify and mitigate financial risks related to productions, contracts, royalties, and revenue sharing models
- Ensure compliance with contracts, talent agreements, and licensing arrangements
6. Team & Stakeholder Management
- Lead and develop finance, accounting, and FP&A teams
- Collaborate closely with business, content, production, legal, and commercial teams
- Communicate financial results clearly to internal and external stakeholders
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related fields
- 10+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, preferably within entertainment, media, content, or creative industries
- Strong understanding of project-based finance, IP monetization, licensing, and revenue-sharing models
- Proven experience in financial strategy, budgeting, forecasting, and business partnering
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
