Country Finance Lead – Singapore

Our client, a leading Chinese MNC, is seeking an experienced finance professional to serve as the sole finance representative in Singapore, reporting directly to overseas headquarters.

Role Overview:

As the Country Finance Lead, you will be the sole finance representative in Singapore, managing financial operations, setting up local policies, optimizing systems, and planning structures. The role requires a flexible, adaptable, and independent professional fluent in Mandarin for liaison with Chinese-speaking stakeholders

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the single point of finance contact in Singapore, reporting directly to overseas headquarters.
• Develop and implement local financial policies and procedures that align with the parent company’s corporate standards.
• Lead finance system optimization, process improvements, and structural setup for local operations.
• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Act as the liaison with Chinese speaking stakeholders, providing financial insights and updates.
• Maintain compliance with Singapore regulatory requirements while adhering to parent company policies.
• Collaborate with business teams to support decision-making and operational efficiency.
• Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to handle changing priorities and cross-border requirements.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; professional qualification (CPA, ACCA, CMA) is a plus
• Total over 15+ years of finance experience with exposure to finance operation, system implementation, process optimization, and financial structuring.
• Proven ability to work independently as the sole finance representative.
• Fluency in English and Mandarin to liaise with Chinese-speaking stakeholders.
• Experience in a Chinese MNC or multinational environment is a plus.
• Strong understanding of local accounting, compliance, reporting standards, intercompany transactions, and policy alignment with parent company.
• Flexible, adaptable, and able to manage multiple priorities in a cross-border context.
