Our client is a well-established company in the plastics industry, with over 30 years of experience in the distribution of plastic granulates and the provision of technical consulting services. The company partners with leading global material manufacturers and supports its clients throughout the entire process, from material selection to application.
We are seeking Polyolefins Sales Manager, who will be responsible for driving the commercial growth and market presence of key thermoplastic products primarily Polyethylene (PE) and Polypropylene (PP) within an assigned territory and customer segment.
Key Responsibilities
· Business Development: Identify and develop new/old customer accounts and product applications to expand market share.
· Portfolio Management: Market and sell commodity polymers like HDPE, LDPE, LLDPE, and PP to various industries (e.g., packaging, automotive, construction).
· Strategic Planning: Develop and execute sales strategies, budgets, and forecasts to meet volume and margin targets.
· Relationship Management: Build and maintain long-term partnerships with existing clients, converters, and partners.
· Commercial Operations: Lead negotiations for pricing and job contracts, manage credit limits, and ensure timely payment collections.
· Market Analysis: Monitor competitor activity, industry trends, and raw material pricing to adjust strategies proactively.
· Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Technical Service, Logistics, and Production teams to solve customer challenges and ensure order fulfillment.
Requirements
· A bachelor’s or master’s degree in chemical/mechanical engineering, Polymer Science, or Business Administration
· 5–10 years of sales experience specifically within the plastics, polymers, or chemicals industry
· Strong and communication abilities, proven sales expertise, and advanced negotiation skills
· Strong understanding of polyolefin properties, processing methods (e.g., extrusion, injection molding)
· Proficiency in English language
· Willingness and ability to travel extensively for customer visits
