Client Description:

This position sits within the Talent Acquisition organization and supports the translation of workforce demand into an appropriate supply strategy.

The Talent Acquisition/Staffing Specialist will work with business stakeholders and hiring or engagement managers to understand their requirements and coordinate with the relevant delivery organizations to support business objectives.

The role is responsible for guiding, advising and educating hiring and engagement managers on Client’s integrated workforce management strategy. This includes the full workforce ecosystem—employees, contingent workers and outsourced solutions—as well as relevant location considerations.

Candidate Profile:

Role Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field.
  • Experience as a talent advisor, HR generalist, global process coordinator or manager, procurement associate or buyer.
  • Familiarity with HR and workforce software and systems, particularly those related to talent management, workforce planning and performance evaluation.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and generate meaningful insights.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage, advise and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Advanced problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities.
  • Procurement knowledge or experience with contract reviews is highly desirable.


Responsibilities:

Workforce Strategy and Advisory

  • Identify work requirements by breaking down traditional role requirements into specific tasks and skills.
  • Understand the full workforce ecosystem, including internal and external workforce solutions.
  • Apply the “build, buy, borrow, bot and base” framework to determine a fit-for-purpose and compliant workforce strategy.
  • Advise hiring and engagement managers on suitable workforce solutions.
  • Coordinate with the relevant delivery organizations to support business objectives.

Data Analysis and Reporting

  • Analyze internal workforce data and external market data to identify trends, gaps and opportunities for workforce and talent optimization.
  • Provide regular reports and updates on relevant trends and insights to stakeholders.
  • Apply available data and insights to support workforce strategy recommendations.

Work Classification and Compliance

  • Determine the final work type classification in accordance with the Novartis External Workforce Management Policy.
  • Understand and apply relevant global and country policies, tax requirements and labor law.
  • Support compliant workforce decisions and identify potential risks.

Systems and Data Quality

  • Coordinate with source-data and system owners to ensure accurate data entry.
  • Support improvements in first-time-right data entry.
  • Work with HR and workforce systems related to talent management, workforce planning and performance evaluation.
