Our client is a leading New Zealand producer of ultra‑premium pet nutrition, known for pioneering gentle air‑drying and steam‑drying technology and using ethically sourced, high‑quality New Zealand ingredients.

What we’re looking for:

Someone who brings the right mix of technical skill, reliability, and commitment to quality. The ideal candidate will have:

Previous experience in food manufacturing or a similar production environment.

Strong mechanical aptitude and confidence operating machinery.

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy with documentation.

Understanding of GMP/HACCP requirements (or willingness to learn).

Reliable, safety‑focused, and an effective communicator.

Ability to work in warm, fast‑paced environments.

Forklift license and proven forklift operating experience — essential

Physically fit — able to stand for long periods and lift as required.

NZ Citizen or Resident Visa (valid right to work)

Ability to pass a pre‑employment drug test.

Clear criminal record.

What you’ll be doing:

Operating and monitoring production machinery.

Conducting in‑process quality checks.

Following SOPs for start‑ups, shut‑downs, and changeovers.

Completing QC and production records accurately and on time.

Maintaining GMP, HACCP, and overall food safety requirements.

Identifying and reporting equipment issues or non‑conformances.

Working collaboratively with production, quality, and maintenance teams.

Operating forklifts safely to move raw materials, pallets, and finished product.
