Job Summary
This role is responsible for leading and driving the overall performance of the book sales team within a B2B environment. The incumbent will own the team’s revenue targets, ensuring consistent pipeline development, conversion, and achievement of sales goals. As a hands-on leader, the role involves coaching and developing team members, strengthening sales discipline, and implementing effective strategies to penetrate target markets and expand the client base. The position requires a balance of strategic oversight and active involvement in key opportunities, engaging with senior stakeholders while fostering a high-performance, results-driven sales culture.
Job Description
- Own and drive overall team revenue performance, carrying a team quota and ensuring consistent achievement of sales targets
- Lead, develop, and scale a high-performing B2B sales team through structured coaching, performance management, and regular pipeline reviews
- Design and execute sales strategies to penetrate target markets, expand client base, and improve conversion rates
- Establish clear KPIs, monitor team performance metrics, and enforce accountability to ensure delivery against business objectives
- Provide hands-on leadership by supporting the team in complex negotiations, key accounts, and high-value opportunities
- Build a strong sales culture focused on discipline, activity consistency, and results-driven execution
- Optimize sales processes including lead generation, qualification, and closing to improve overall team efficiency
- Ensure accurate forecasting, reporting, and proper utilization of CRM tools across the team
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align sales initiatives with business goals and market opportunities
- Lead by example with a proactive hunter mindset while maintaining strategic oversight of team activities
Requirement
- Minimum 5 years of B2B sales experience with a proven track record in achieving and exceeding targets
- Minimum 2 years of experience leading or guiding a sales team, acting as a subject matter expert (SME) and providing day-to-day coaching and support to drive team performance
- Strong leadership capability in coaching, mentoring, and driving team productivity
- Demonstrated experience in building pipelines, managing forecasts, and executing sales strategies
- Strong business acumen with the ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders and decision-makers
- Excellent command of English with strong presentation and communication skills
- Highly disciplined, structured, and performance-driven with strong time management
- Resilient, competitive, and results-oriented with a strong “hunter” mindset
- Experience in outbound sales, inside sales, or telesales environments is an added advantage
