Key Competencies:

• Serve as the technical owner for ALD hardware modules and chambers, ensuring tool uptime and stable performance.
• Analyze tool health, chamber behavior, and hardware degradation with OEM/IDM partners, and resolve chronic issues or failures.
• Monitor SPC, alarms, excursions, and chamber matching; respond quickly to out‑of‑spec conditions and support recipe recovery after hardware events.
• Lead troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis using structured methods (5Why, Fishbone, DMAIC, 8D).
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance availability, throughput, cost‑of‑ownership, and hardware/kit performance.
• Evaluate hardware changes, retrofit kits, and support ECO and configuration control activities.
• Document BKMs, troubleshooting steps, and chamber health metrics; communicate clear handoffs to operations and provide updates to sustaining leadership.

An Ideal Candidate:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant engineering field (Materials, Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical).
• 2–5 years of experience with ALD or thin‑film deposition tools, with strong knowledge of vacuum systems, gas panels, valves, plasma, and hardware interactions.
• Skilled in SPC, data analysis, and semiconductor tool troubleshooting; able to operate effectively in fast‑paced production environments.
• Willingness to travel internationally (up to 50%) and proficient English communication.
• Preferred experience: hardware sustaining, equipment reliability, tool ownership, ALD platforms (ASM, Lam, TEL, Applied), JMP/Python analytics, contamination control, and cleanroom operation.
• Core strengths: strong mechanical aptitude, analytical problem‑solving, clear communication, cross‑functional collaboration, ownership mindset, and ability to independently drive improvements.
