Position Summary
The Senior Field Service Engineer is responsible for delivering high-quality service and support to customers, ensuring optimal performance of instruments and equipment. This role involves completing service jobs efficiently, maintaining strong customer relationships, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. The position requires technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safety and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform assigned service tasks including pre-delivery checks, preventative maintenance, repairs, and installations to maintain customer satisfaction and meet revenue targets.
- Maintain accurate service logs and internal records in line with departmental guidelines.
- Communicate effectively with customers and internal teams to ensure timely resolution and follow-up.
- Ensure proper maintenance and calibration of tools and test equipment.
- Utilize escalation processes for service issues and conduct root cause analysis for effective problem resolution.
- Identify opportunities to improve departmental methods and procedures.
- Recognize potential sales opportunities and communicate them to the sales team.
- Participate in continuous improvement by escalating process and product quality gaps and suggesting solutions.
- Submit warranty claims through the appropriate process and maintain related records.
- Adhere to health and safety standards and actively minimize risks in all operations.
- Primary responsibility covers the Republic of Korea; occasional international travel for training and meetings may be required.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support business objectives.
An Ideal Candidate:
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Field Service Engineer in the life science industry.
- Experience with High-Speed and Ultra-Centrifuges preferred.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of electronics and mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to work on complex precision machinery and adhere to safety protocols.
- Skilled in device calibration and troubleshooting.
- Excellent organizational, prioritization, and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Proficient in administrative tasks and PC applications (Excel, Word, CRM systems).
- Effective written and verbal communication skills in Korean.
- Collaborative mindset with proven ability to work across teams.
