About the Role
The Sales Director will oversee strategic direction and manage day-to-day execution across Korea’s sales and business growth initiatives, holding full responsibility for profit and loss outcomes. This role drives revenue acceleration, expands market presence, and fosters high-performance standards across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute integrated sales and market growth plans aligned with company goals and emerging opportunities
- Set performance benchmarks, KPIs, and expansion targets across business units
- Lead short- and long-term sales forecasting and strategic planning
- Launch initiatives to capture new markets, attract clients, and grow revenue
- Oversee competitive analysis, market trends, and positioning strategies
- Own revenue targets and profitability across departments
- Define and monitor metrics for team performance, client satisfaction, and market share
- Improve sales efficiency through process innovation and CRM optimization
- Conduct evaluations and provide strategic direction to department leaders
- Apply best practices in sales operations, client engagement, and digital tools
- Manage key relationships with clients, distributors, and OEM partners
- Drive customer acquisition and market entry strategies
- Mentor and support the development of sales teams and future leaders
- Foster a results-oriented culture and cross-functional collaboration
- Lead succession planning and workforce development initiatives
- Align Korea’s sales strategy with global priorities through close partnership with HQ
- Represent the sales function in global leadership forums and strategic discussions
Qualifications
- Graduate degree (MBA preferred) in Business, Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 25 years of experience, including 15+ years in B2B industrial sales and 10+ years in executive leadership with full P&L responsibility
- Proven success in complex B2B sales within industrial sectors such as automation, semiconductors, or machinery or related industries
- Strong background in distributor networks, OEM partnerships, and engineered solutions
- Experience managing strategic accounts, capital equipment deals, and industrial supply operations
- Familiarity with global business environments, especially in Asia; multinational corporate experience preferred
- Strategic leadership with a track record of guiding diverse teams and driving transformation
- Deep understanding of industrial sales cycles, procurement, and value-based selling
- Financial acumen and experience in competitive market strategy
- Technical knowledge in automation systems, electrical/mechanical architecture, and process control
- Proficient in CRM tool
- Fluent in Korean and English; excellent communication and negotiation skills
