Position Overview

We are seeking a Business Development Manager – Korea to support revenue growth across both new and existing clients in the Korean market. This role is a commercial-facing B2B role focused on introducing market intelligence solutions to customers, understanding their business context, and helping them leverage data and insights for better decision-making. While sales execution is an important part of the role, this position goes beyond simple product selling and requires the ability to communicate market and industry perspectives in a clear, logical, and value-driven way.

Key Competencies:

Main Responsibilities


1. Business Development & Client Expansion


  • Identify and develop new business opportunities within the Korean market


  • Engage with prospective and existing clients to understand their business structure, challenges, and decision-making processes


  • Support account growth across new and existing customers through long-term relationship building

2. Value-Based & Solution-Oriented Engagement

  • Introduce the company’s market intelligence products and services by linking data and insights to customer business objectives


  • Ask thoughtful and structured questions to understand customer needs, purchasing dynamics, and contracting processes


  • Support commercial discussions and handle objections in a professional and consultative manner

3. Client Relationship Management


  • Build trusted relationships with clients as a long-term business partner


  • Communicate complex market information in a clear, structured, and compelling way


  • Support account renewals and expansion opportunities over time

4. Sales Process & Internal Collaboration


  • Maintain accurate customer and opportunity information in Salesforce and related CRM systems


  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure high-quality customer engagement and delivery


  • Contribute to a collaborative and responsible sales culture within the Korea team

An Ideal Candidate:

Required Qualifications

 

·        5+ years of experience in B2B sales, business development, account management, or a related commercial role

 

·        Experience engaging with customers in Korea-focused B2B environments

 

·        Strong communication and negotiation skills, with confidence in both phone-based and face-to-face discussions

 

·        Ability to understand customer business structures and explain value propositions in a logical and structured way

 

·        Business-level English proficiency and native-level Korean

 

 

Preferred Qualifications

 

·        Background or exposure to chemical, petrochemical, energy, or related B2B industries

 

·        Experience or interest in data, information services, or SaaS-type business models

 

·        Experience working in large or structured organizations, which may support process understanding and cross-functional collaboration

 

·        Ability to think beyond individual accounts and approach conversations from a market or industry perspective

 

·        Consistent work attitude, strong sense of responsibility, and ownership mindset
