Role Summary

The Account Manager is responsible for driving sales growth within an assigned territory, with a strong focus on Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) products and services. This role involves developing strategic sales plans, building long‑term customer relationships, and identifying opportunities for new business expansion. The ideal candidate combines commercial acumen with a solid understanding of the life sciences market.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Strategy & Execution

  • Develop and execute territory-specific sales strategies for NGS products and services.
  • Achieve or exceed assigned sales targets and performance KPIs.

Customer Relationship Management

  • Build and sustain strong relationships with key stakeholders, decision-makers, and influencers.
  • Conduct regular customer meetings to understand needs, provide solutions, and strengthen retention.

Market Insight & Business Development

  • Maintain an up-to-date understanding of market trends, customer priorities, and the competitive landscape.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including new client acquisition and cross-selling/upselling within existing accounts.

Sales Presentations & Product Engagement

  • Deliver compelling sales presentations and product demonstrations to prospects and existing customers.

Internal Collaboration

  • Work closely with internal stakeholders—including Technical Specialists, Marketing, Product, and Logistics teams—to ensure smooth sales processes and high customer satisfaction.


Reporting & Systems Management

  • Keep accurate, timely records of sales activities, pipelines, and customer interactions in SFDC.

An Ideal Candidate:

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., Biology, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology).
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in sales; experience with NGS solutions is highly advantageous.
  • At least 2 years’ experience in a local academic research environment.
  • Strong understanding of NGS technology and the life sciences market.
  • Full professional proficiency in Korean (spoken and written) to effectively engage local clients.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively within cross-functional teams.
