An Ideal Candidate:

Understanding of storage fundamentals: SAN vs NAS, RAID levels, snapshots/replication basics.

Familiarity with at least one storage vendor UI/CLI (e.g., NetApp System Manager/ONTAP basics, Dell EMC Unisphere, HPE, IBM, Pure).

Basic SAN zoning concepts (Brocade/Cisco MDS) and WWN mapping awareness.

Ticketing tools (ServiceNow/Jira), monitoring tools (e.g., Cloud Insights, Grafana, vendor-native).

Good documentation and communication skills.

Key Competencies:

Monitor alerts, events, capacity, and performance dashboards (NAS/SAN/Object/Backup).

Perform initial triage of incidents; resolve standard and documented issues.

Execute routine service requests: LUN mapping/masking from templates, snapshot scheduling, share creation, quota changes, access/ACL updates.

Run standard health checks and daily reports; update shift logs and tickets with quality notes.

Follow runbooks/SOPs; escalate to L2/L3 with complete diagnostics.

Coordinate with Backup and Compute teams for scheduled jobs and dependencies.

Participate in shift handovers and on-call rotations as needed
