An Ideal Candidate:
We are looking for a candidate who will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between small-holder farmers and markets. The responsibilities will include facilitating seed bookings, providing agronomic support, generating demand for agricultural inputs, and ensuring efficient procurement and market linkage post-harvest. A bike with a valid driving license is mandatory and
the ideal candidate should have a B.Sc. in Agriculture and 0–2 years of experience in a similar field.
Key Competencies:
- Collaborate with Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs) to promote and facilitate the booking of Bayer’s Dekalb maize seeds. Ensure timely placement and delivery of seeds to farmers through FPO channels.
- Provide crop-specific agronomic advice to farmers throughout the crop cycle. Utilize the Farm Rise platform to share best practices, pest and disease management tips, and fertilizer schedules. Promote Bayer and non-Bayer agricultural inputs to generate sales demand.
- Coordinate with FPOs to arrange procurement at collection centers post-harvest. Conduct physical quality assessments of produce using field-level tools. Facilitate the sale of graded produce to offtakes, ensuring fair pricing and timely payments to farmers.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with FPO leaders, local dealers, and buyers. Organize farmer meetings, training sessions, and product demonstrations to drive engagement and adoption.
